Senior Analytics Engineer
Recurly
Built and managed data models from ingest (Fivetran) through mart for analyst consumption (dbt/BigQuery/Tableau). Developed business logic and metric definitions across functional teams, including finance, sales, revenue ops, marketing, and customer experience KPIs.
Designed and built source-of-truth contract renewal and revenue retention data models from the ground up, combining Salesforce, Netsuite, and in-app data.
Supported launch of new data pipelines from tools like Marketo, Wrike, and Gainsight. Built data models to support new in-app data products and reduced vendor expenses through retry logic optimization.
Analytics Engineer

Joined as one of the first two Analytics Engineers at Sprout, helped to shape the future of Data @ Sprout and adoption/best practices for technologies we own. Primary owners of data modeling, dbt, and Amundsen.
Served as an interface between data warehouse and data consumers like scientists, analysts, and product managers. Refactored SQL queries and built testable and scalable data models using dbt, MySQL, and Redshift. Improved data catalog, hygiene, and quality using Great Expectations and Amundsen. Built on top of Airflow, Github CI/CD, and Jenkins.
Cargo Data Strategy and Insights
United Airlines
Built new revenue forecasts for cargo demand on potential passenger lanes and configurations using scalable process that supported hundreds of scenarios. Optimized existing reports/queries, automated ETL processes, and extracted unstructured data sources before loading into MSSQL. Built data pipelines to combine data from flat files, Salesforce, Teradata, and MSSQL.
Led team onboarding of new project management framework after designing and implementing Agile/Scrum rituals and tools. Hosted team's first lunch and learns to improve cross-functionality and transparency.
Extensively used SQL, R, Git, Teradata, PHP, Spotfire, Salesforce Query Language, Access, and VBA.

Produced infrastructure and API documentation, weekly engineering reports, and drove engineering operations on company priorities, ensuring that work is aligned with strategic objectives.

Improved existing Excel and Access models and developed new models. Built data pipelines, aggregated public/private datasets, configured data visualization reports to support data analysis. Worked with tools like MS SQL, MYSQL, PHP, Python, Alteryx, and Power BI.

Systems Analyst and Project Coordinator

Reported directly to the Chief Information Officer regarding infrastructure improvement projects, network consolidation, and private cloud capacity management. Lead several R&D projects for process and product improvement to reduce costs for internal IT services.
Supported due diligence for buy-side M&A and post-merger integration. Developed strategy for the office of the CIO, change management tools for development teams, and assisted with license consolidation.
Systems Engineer
North Mill Equipment Finance
Reported directly to the Chief Technology Officer and supported various technology efforts both inside and outside of the firm. Lead R&D efforts for several special projects under the CTO, including setting up O365, Datto cloud recovery, Microsoft Volume Licensing, and a remote NOC.
Supported SOC-2 audit efforts, backup and patching for datacenter, contract negotiations, project management for infrastructure and development projects, and strategy development for the office of the CTO.
Passion Projects
Cycling Injury Term Paper
Wrote a research paper for an Accident Causation and Safety Systems class regarding the impact of helmets on cycling injuries and statistical analysis on crash conditions and chance of injury/fatality as well as severity of injury. Key findings suggest that helmets may not prevent severe injury and that supporting cycling infrastructure is the way to go.
Fostering Cats
Started fostering in my college apartment and now regularly have four at a time. Currently, fostering in Chicago but always happy to answer questions about cats, adopting, fostering, etc. Feel free to reach out or click the link below to see what cats I'm fostering now.
Baking

Photography
Started off taking photos when I got a smartphone in high school. A bunch of phones and three cameras later, I now shoot with a Sony a6500. I love carrying around my camera and capturing shots of landscapes, animals, people, and machines.
Poetry
I like to collect my thoughts every once in a while and turn them into short poems or dramatic posts.

Every once in a while I get an idea or hear about something that would be fun to put together on the web. Most of these tidbits have no 'actual' use except to give me something fun to do on the train or just make me chuckle, which I'd say is just as valuable as anything else I do. Enjoy. Founding member of Georgia Tech's competition team for the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition. Led team of 50+ student engineers working on cutting-edge transportation technology to develop a Hyperloop pod capable of exceeding 260mph.
Developed project management framework to support subsystem development and integration. Worked with subteam leads to develop design goals and ensure Pod satisfies all mission requirements.

Aero Maker Space
Lead team of 30+ undergraduate students to operate an aerospace-focused makerspace at Georgia Tech. Responsible for daily operations, recruitment, hiring, training of students, maintenance of machines, running events, and purchasing of materials and tools.

Member of the Electrical Power Systems team on a student-led nanosatellite project, sponsored by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research.
Updated and improved existing Python simulator to close power budget and update ConOps to satisfy mission requirements.

Worked with Boeing to develop blown-lift aircraft design based on B737. Developed CAD models of aircraft to be 3D-printed for low-speed wind tunnel tests.
Worked with graduate students to develop and execute test plan for wind tunnel.
